Pastor Deborah Dukes is a dynamic Kingdom leader whose life and ministry embody the very heart of impact. A true “Proverbs 31 woman,” she is honored and celebrated by her husband, child, and grandchildren who “ rise and call her blessed.” Born into a strong legacy of faith as the daughter of Pastor Lorene Poindexter and the late Bishop Carver Poindexter of Love of Christ Church in Alexandria, Virginia, Pastor Deborah received a solid foundation in Christ that continues to shape her leadership today.

As the co-founder and Senior Pastor of Impact Church in Woodbridge, Virginia (formerly Harvest Life Church), Pastor Deborah, alongside her husband, Bishop Lyle Dukes, leads a life changing ministry dedicated to transforming individuals, strengthening families, and empowering communities. Together, they provide vision and high-level discipleship that reaches beyond the local church to inspire and equip leaders across the globe.

Pastor Deborah also serves as the Executive Director of Churches United, where she and Bishop Dukes provide spiritual covering and leadership development to nearly 400 churches throughout the United States, Europe, Africa, and beyond. Her heart is to unify and empower the Church to fulfill its divine mandate of winning souls, discipling believers, and meeting the real needs of people.

A gifted author and creator, Pastor Deborah has co-authored numerous books with Bishop Dukes and produced and directed four powerful stage plays—Church Wives, The #1 Player, The Sinner’s Choir, and The Wishing Well—each designed to inspire life change and Kingdom living. As the Pastor of Music, she leads the worship initiatives at Impact Church including oversight of the Worship Team, Musicians and various global music projects. She is a great song writer and psalmist as well. She also has a unique passion for leadership and organizational development, equipping others to maximize their calling and operate with excellence.

Her greatest impact, however, began at home. As a mother, Pastor Deborah nurtured and developed her daughter, Pastor Brittany Dukes-Bryant, who now serves as the Executive Pastor of Impact Church, carrying forward the vision with strength, wisdom, and passion.

Pastor Deborah Dukes is a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, friend, and spiritual leader to countless people. She is on a mission to use every gift, platform, and opportunity to empower others to live intentionally and to produce victorious Kingdom results. Through her leadership at Impact Church, she continues to change lives, shape generations, and make a lasting impact for Jesus Christ.

Bishop Lyle Dukes is the epitome of a man of impact with a strong work ethic for Christ and the Kingdom of God. He serves as the Lead Senior Pastor of Impact Church (formerly Harvest Life Church) in Woodbridge, Virginia, which he founded in 1995 with his wife and ministry partner, Pastor Deborah Dukes. Together, they carry the God-given mission for impact by winning souls for Christ, equipping believers through discipleship, and empowering families, communities, and regions across the world through the power of Jesus Christ. They provide vision and high-level discipleship that reaches beyond the local church to inspire and equip leaders across the globe.

Bishop Dukes serves as the Presiding Bishop of Churches United, an international organization of nearly 400 churches, alongside Pastor Deborah, who serves as Executive Director. Together, they are known as “Pastors to Pastors,” strengthening leaders and ministries across the globe, including establishing churches, providing ministry direction for pastors and as well as construction projects in the United States and abroad – including our 2000-seat ministry center in Nakuru, Kenya.

A graduate of the University of Virginia, Bishop Dukes holds a Master of Divinity and has Master’s studies in Business Administration. A U.S. Army veteran and a Commissioned Officer, he combines discipline and vision with a heart for ministry. He is also a prolific author of more than twenty books that inspire and equip people to walk in purpose and power.

In addition to his pastoral and global ministry work, Bishop Dukes is widely respected in the corporate and civic arenas for his Godly wisdom, integrity, and leadership. He has served on several boards, including as Chairman of the Board for the Prince William Chamber of Commerce, the largest municipal Chamber in Virginia.

Bishop Dukes’ life and ministry are marked by his unwavering commitment to making an impact for the Kingdom of God. His marriage to Pastor Deborah is a powerful example of love and partnership, inspiring couples and families around the world. Together, they lead with vision and passion, showing what it means to reach the world for Christ—making an impact that lasts for generations.
