foods to avoid

Avoid eating the foods below. Some exceptions have been noted.

Meat

Beef, lamb, pork, seafood, fish, poultry, eggs, etc.

Dairy

Milk, cheese, butter, cream, sour cream, margarine and any spreads.

Sweeteners

Sugar, raw sugar, syrup, honey, etc.  You may use substitute sweeteners.

White rice, white flour, and white bread.

Fried Foods

Fried meats, french fries, onion rings, etc.

All Solid Fats

Shortening, lard, butter, bacon grease, etc.

Sauces

Steak sauce, barbecue sauce, marinara sauce, gravies, sweet and sour sauce, teriyaki sauce, butter sauce, lemon butter sauce, cream sauce, brown sauce, white sauce, hollandaise, remoulade, tartar sauce, pesto sauce, fruit sauce, caramel sauce, butterscotch sauce, chocolate sauce, hot fudge sauce, cream cheese, mayonnaise or any form of spread, etc.  You may use mustard.

Beverages: Soda, energy drinks, and alcohol (which we don’t drink anyway).
